About Autism SA
Autism SA has been providing specialised services to the South Australian community since 1964. We are the leading provider of specialised services to people with Autism Spectrum in the State and our national networks ensure an ongoing commitment to specialised services and resources across Australia.

We are looking for highly motivated and confident staff to join our supported accommodation and our community support services. As a support worker in the supported accommodation programs you will be required to provide intensive support to an adolescent and/or young adult both at home and in a range of community settings, carrying out various activities – walking, swimming, shopping, art and craft, baking etc, ensuring the highest standards of professional support to enable the individual(s) to experience life opportunities and develop greater independence.

Our Community Support Services are also seeking part time support workers to regularly support children outside of school hours. Typical hours are before and after school, for shifts ranging from 1 to 5 hours in duration. The work will include supporting children to prepare for school, access the community after school hours, and provide support or respite in a home or community setting. Locations may vary and will be matched to suitable staff geographically.

You must be able to drive to various locations within the Greater Adelaide area. You should be willing to work on a roster basis, which will involve day, evening, night and weekend shifts. As we use a person centred approach to support we are particularly looking for workers that have similar interests to the clients we are supporting. We are keen to find people with passions including: Swimming, walking; beach and bush walks, listening and singing along to music, baking, playing ball games, water play, arts and crafts, cooking and baking, adventure parks and dining out.
